Girls Playoff Format and Procedures
MAY 20 DEADLINE FOR REGULAR SEASON GAMES & POST GAME REPORTS:
- All regular-season games must be played by Wednesday, May 20
- ALL Post Game Reports MUST be submitted by 11 pm on May 20.

- Any game's Post-Game Report NOT submitted by 11 p.m. on May 20 will not count toward the final regular season standings and Power Rankings.

PLAYOFFS
- Every team will play in a single-elimination postseason bracket tournament, either the Championship Bracket or the Best of the Rest Bracket
- See below for the number of teams for each division that will make the Championship Bracket
- Power Rankings determine final standings for bracket placement.
- Power Rankings determine playoff seeding for Championship Brackets
- Best of the Rest Brackets: MYL will use Power Rankings as a guide for seeding, but may adjust to provide closer travel for first-round games.
- Playoff Brackets will be announced Friday, May 22.
- Girls 7/8 Championship Games are at Jordan Field at Harvard University on Friday, June 19
- D1 @ 3:30pm
- D2 @ 5:00pm
- D3 @ 6:30pm
- Girls 5/6 Championship Games are at Jordan Field at Harvard University on Wednesday, June 17
- D1 @ 8:10pm
- D2 @ 6:50pm
- D3 @ 5:30pm
- Communicate with the opponent and potential future opponents to schedule games as soon as possible.
- Any disputes between teams regarding scheduling a game will go to the Select Committee for a decision on when and where the game will be played.
Girls Best of the Rest Brackets
- The higher seed in each match-up will host, including the championship game
- Rounds should follow the Championship Bracket timeline
- Championship Games should be played by June 19
- Coaches should communicate and work together to schedule games
DIVISION PLAYOFF STRUCTURE
Girls 7/8 D1 Playoff Structure (12 teams)
- All 12 teams will play in the Championship Bracket
- Champ Bracket:
- Seeds 1-4 will get a 1st Rd BYE
- Seeds 5-12 will play in the 1st Rd on Fri, May 29 (ok to host May 27-28 or June 1-3). Higher seed hosts.
- Seeds 1-4 will host the Quarterfinal games on Fri, June 5 (ok to host June 1-4 or June 8-10)
- Semi-finals hosted by the higher seed in each match-up on Fri, June 12 (ok to host on June 8-11, or June 15-17.
- Finals on June 19 @ Jordan Field at 3:30 PM
Girls 7/8 D2 Playoff Structure - 27 Teams
- The top 12 ranked teams will play in the Championship Bracket
- Teams ranked 13-27 will play in the Best of the Rest Bracket
- Champ Bracket:
- Seeds 1-4 will get a 1st Rd BYE
- Seeds 5-12 will play in the 1st Rd on Fri, May 29 (ok to host May 27-28 or June 1-3). Higher seed hosts.
- Seeds 1-4 will host the Quarterfinal games on Fri, June 5 (ok to host June 1-4 or June 8-10)

Girls 7/8 D3 Playoff Structure - 13 teams
- All 13 teams will play in the Championship Bracket
- Champ Bracket:
- Seeds 1-3 will get a 1st Rd BYE
- Seeds 4-13 will play in the 1st Rd on Fri, May 29 (ok to host May 27-28 or June 1-3). Higher seed hosts.
- Seeds 1-3 and winner of 4v13 seed will host the Quarterfinal games on Fri, June 5 (ok to host June 1-4 or June 8-10)
- Semi-finals hosted by the higher seed in each match-up on Fri, June 12 (ok to host on June 8-11, or June 15-17.
- Finals on June 19 @ Jordan Field at 6:30 PM
Girls 5/6 D1 Playoff Structure - 7 teams
- All 7 teams will play in the Championship Bracket

- #1 Seed will get a 1st Rd BYE
- Seeds 2-7 will play in the 1st Rd on Fri, May 29 (ok to host May 27-28 or June 1-3). Higher seed hosts.
- Higher seeds in each match up will host the Semi-Finals games on Fri, June 12 (ok to host June 1-5 or June 8-10)
- Finals on Wednesday, June 17 @ Jordan Field at 5:00 PM
Girls 5/6 D2 Playoff Structure - 20 teams
- The top 12 ranked teams will play in the Championship Bracket
- Teams ranked 13-20 will play in the Best of the Rest Bracket

Game Operations Reminders For Playoffs:
- Girls Select Games MUST consist of TWO 25-minute running time halves
- The clock stops in the last minute of each half...
- After a goal, and starts with the draw whistle.
- On all fouls in the critical scoring area and restarts on the official's whistle.
- On all fouls resulting in a card, and restarts on the official's whistle.
- Home Team must provide
- A visible scoreboard
- Scorers table, scoreboard, and timing devices for the game time and cards
- Minimum 2 people to run the clock, scoreboard, and card times.
- Adequate game balls and end line balls.
- Pylons or cones to clearly mark boundaries, restraining lines, and substitution box
- There is overtime in the Select League Playoffs
- 3-minute sudden-death periods until a goal is scored. First goal wins.
- BOTH Teams Must Submit a Post-Game Report for EVERY GAME
- Scores are not official until a post-game report is submitted by both teams.
